The operator's console is free-standing and is generally located adjacent to the dynamometer. It houses the following controls and instrumentation to control the dynamometer and reading information from the transmission (pressures, gear ratio, cooler flow):

Drive rotation switch (CW/CCW)
S-Turn potentiometer for input speed control
Amp meter to indicate relative input torque ˆ scaled by percentage
S-Turn potentiometer for power absorption control
Amp meter to indicate relative load
Fill/drain switch for transmission oil reservoir system
Green run light
Stop/start button Input tachometer–digital
Left output tachometer ˆ digital
Right output tachometer ˆ digital Mainline oil pressure ˆ 0–400 psi
Oil pressure gauges ˆ 0–300 psi
Oil temperature gauge ˆ digital
Flow sensor ˆ 0–2 gpm analog
